Antarctica
It’s the farthest place on earth.
It’s the land of steep mountains, deep blue ice, penguins, whales, seals, sea lions, and millions of unique birds.
You’ll find it’s the most beautiful, rugged, remote and life-changing continent on the planet.

Extended days and the midnight sun provide excellent light for photography. Choose from our astonishing bucket-list Photo Safaris:
Emperor Penguins: You’ve met cute fluffy Emperor Penguins Chicks via “Happy Feet” and “March of the Penguins.” How would you like to experience a NatGeo moment and meet them in real life while ticking off your goal of standing on Antarctica? Join us on a Photo Safari journey to Snow Hill Island in the Weddell Sea, where we’ll use helicoptors to get to the Emperor Colony so we can see the chicks. There’s a small window of time to see them before they join the adults in going to sea in December. This is a true expedition, because success in seeing the colony depends on ice, wind and weather, but we will maximize our chances to see the cutest fluffballs in the world on this unparalleled experience. You’ll definitely see adults on this trip, though, so you can check the largest penguin in the world off of your birding list.
Falklands, South Georgia, Antarctica: If you take one trip to Antarctica, make it this one. Look for 14 species of marine mammals, including endangered sei whales to humpbacks to orcas, in the icy waters. Over 260 bird species call Antarctica home, including Albatross, Skuas, Petrels and penguins. See colonies of over 500,000 King Penguins, plus Gentoo, Macaroni, Magellanic, and Southern Rockhoppers on South Georgia and Falklands. Listen for the only songbird in Antarctica–and the southernmost songbird, the endemic South Georgia Pipit. Lift a toast at Sir Ernest Shackleton’s grave. You’ll be baptized by the notorious Drake Passage to acheive your life goal of standing on the Antarctic continent. Meet Adelie and Chinstrap penguins here, and if you are lucky, some sea-going Emperors. Spend time on land and on zodiacs, cruising the waters for icebergs and whales. This unforgettable Photo Safari will go down as your most favorite adventure, ever.
