Travel and Medical Insurance

Blackwood Safaris requires guests to obtain travel, international medical, and medical evacuation insurance to participate in our trips. For your convenience, Blackwood Safaris partners with GeoBlue for International Medical and Evacuation insurance, and with their parent company, HTH, for trip cancellation/travel insurance. Karen personally uses GeoBlue for her medical and evacuation insurance.

A minimum of $500,000 in Medical Evacuation insurance is a MANDATORY REQUIREMENT for Antarctica and Arctic trip participants. You must provide proof of insurance before your boarding documents will be issued. GeoBlue packages include $1,000,000 in medical evacuation insurance.

If you booked using a credit card, check to see if your card benefits include trip insurance. You may not need to purchase supplemental trip insurance.
